The Keeper

The Moorland Association's free award winning DVD "The Keeper" gives an insight into the iconic heather moorland landscape and each comes with a booklet giving supplementary information about the habitat, management, Red Grouse and other upland birds.

"The Keeper" focuses on moorland management as described by a gamekeeper to a schoolboy during a journey to reunite him with his school minibus. The keeper talks to him about the moorland landscape, the wildlife it supports, the birds that need protecting, the importance of sustainable management and the need to save this unique habitat for generations to come.

"The Keeper" is an ideal educational resource and gives an overview of moorland management.
