 2009 VIDEO COMPETITION

The 2009 video competitionMake a DofE video or PowerPoint presentation and you could win a £200* Millets voucher for your group!!

We are looking for an exciting video or mutimedia presentation to show at the County’s prestigious Gold Award presentation on the 9th January 2010.

You may want to video your expedition, tell us about something your group has done or just tell others how brilliant the DofE is.

Your video/presentation should be between 3 and 5 minutes long.

The Video or PowerPoint presentation can be on anything that's DofE related but just be aware that it will be shown at the Gold presentation in January so it needs to be of general interest (i.e. not a training video). It should be between 3 and 5 minutes in length and in digital format (can be played on a computer). Animations are acceptable.

The final product should be good quality, it could be moving, humorous or informative but we are really looking for something that is fresh and will appeal to an adult audience.  Please bear in mind that things are often funny to the group who made the video but not to other people watching and try and avoid clichés like bogs and blisters as people have seen these time and again. Apart from that, be creative and enjoy yourselves.

Participants could use this for the purpose of an expedition or if they are able to spend the required time on it for their Volunteering or Skill section.

If you are going to submit an entry please email us (the.award@cambridgeshire.gov.uk ) to register for the competition by 1st June 2009.  The closing date for submissions is 1st Nov 2009. There is no limit on the number of submissions from each DofE centre.

* There will also be a runner up prize of  a £50 voucher.
